I ordered the super veggie burrito which was first of all massive and so filling but also really delicious. it comes toasted in cheese I paid an extra dollar for avocado which brought the total to about $13 which seems like a lot but the portion is amazing. they also give a box of veggies, chips, and two kinds of salsas which are really good and pair well with the burrito. it's a small truck with decent seating but not a lot of parking so we parked in the church lot across. overall def worth checking out!
I read a review about them in the san francisco chronicle and had to give them a try. The food is Amazing. They give you a tiny bag of tortilla chips which is not a big deal to me but might be for some so just ask for a few bags if you like tortilla chips. Ive had tacos, burritos and tortas from there and all were super delicious. Definitely give them a try.
This is my favorite buritto in Vallejo, hey maybe even my favorite burrito in all the Bay Area. They are so big that they are good for two meals, they have the perfect ratio of meat/beans/rice/sour cream/cheese and I always add avocado to take it over the top. I just wish they were open on weekends!
It's high time I've left a review. This is the best burrito in Vallejo and beyond. We always get the shrimp super burrito with extra shrimp. They are very generous with the camarones. There's at least 1-2 shrimp in every bite. I need to expand the map and try different items but, the shrimp burrito is just too addicting. La Piñata is simply the best. It's not open on weekends so, it's a M-F delight.
A lovely food truck located in the heart of Vallejo. I go here often with coworkers, and let me tell you their food does not disappoint. The food is tasty and affordable. I usually order their tacos, but I've tried their super burrito and super nachos and they were sooo good. Service is fast and easy and we're usually in and out of there pretty quick.
After hearing about this being THE food truck in Vallejo, I was pleased to find out the food is indeed delicious! I had a mixed platter of street tacos & found everything tasty. My only gripe would be things were on the ever side slightly salty side, but I think that's just my palette. Portions are great--in particular, the Super Burrito is indeed super!
I work in Vallejo and this is my favorite taco truck to get lunch from. My fiance and I also sometimes drive from Benicia to get burritos for dinner. The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly. I love the burritos, especially the Suadero and Al Pastor. They are so big that I usually cut them in half and get two meals out of them. La Piñata Taqueria also has the perfect horchata, not too sweet or too starchy. Every time I get horchata from somewhere else, it is never as good. There is convenient parking and tables to sit at if you want to eat there. We recommend this place 1000 times!
One of the best burrito and taco trucks in Vallejo right near Vallejo High School across from Pizza Hut. Came here during lunch on a weekday and they are so fast! They accept card too! I got a carne asada super burrito and my friend got a vegetable burrito. The meat was so good and the wrapper and all of the fillings were good portions! They have sauce and places to sit outside but the quality and price is amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Season meat in Vallejo!!! I'm from Oakland land of the food trucks. I must admit, this one is pretty damn close in taste. I literally smelled seasoning upon arrival. I knew my taste buds would be in good hands. I order the super nacho (just to test out the meat). The nachos were good the only thing I wish they would have a melted sauce cheese instead of shredded cheese. This is a truck but there is outside seating if you like. I'll be back to try a burrito (I'm 9/10 that's going to be a HIT). If the meat is seasoned and juicy everything else will fall in line. They also gave me green and red sauce with extra napkins without me asking. I love that. Normal customer service (no rude not over polite). It was great.
A taco truck that actually picks up your call?! On top of that, your food is put together beautifully, you get all the fixins at no extra cost, and everything is fresh and hot? Say less. 5 stars! La Pinata does not nickel and dime you for every little thing which is such a rare find nowadays. Each taco plate comes with a side of pickled carrots, onions, jalapenos, as well as grilled onions and jalapeno, and some limes. If you order anything else on the menu, they'll also make sure to throw in a side plate with all of this too, so burrito lovers don't fear. You won't have to miss out on all that pickled goodness. They even give you a tiny baggy of chips lol It's pretty cute, and the perfect amount for 1. They have a spicy red salsa and green mild salsa, but I think the default for the tacos might be a slight mix of the two. It's on the spicier side so if you need less heat, you might wanna let them know. Anytime I see suadero on the menu, I have to try it. Their suadero is flavorful but reminds me of carnitas. I'm not a fan of that shredded meat texture, so this was kinda a miss for me. Flavor wise though, good. Al pastor is on the leaner side here. It's flavorful but I like my pork more fatty and juicy. Not a bad choice either! The shrimp super burrito though! So good! The shrimps are fat and juicy, and the rice, beans, grilled onions and bell peppers inside give the whole burrito a very special touch. The tortilla was sooooo soft and had so much flavor from being grilled. Usually I'm focused on what's inside the burrito but the outside of this was just as good. The shrimps were a little sparse so some bites felt a bit vegetarian. I'd add carne asada to this next time, for a surf and turf delight.
